School Formal Car Hire Parents Can Plan Around

Most formal bookings are made by a parent, and the first questions are about who is driving and what happens in the car.

Every vehicle is driven by a licensed Prestige Hire driver, and under our booking terms alcohol on board is limited to passengers aged 18 and over.

Before the night, the parent who books agrees three things with us: the order of pickups, the photo location and the final drop-off address. The driver works to that plan, so students are not left sorting out logistics in their formal wear.

Year 12 Formal Car Hire for the Last Big Night of School

Year 12 formals are usually held once the HSC exams finish in November, and many schools pick the same few weekends. That makes the most requested cars the first to go.

A common Year 12 plan pairs one limousine for the friendship group with a single statement car for the arrival photo. We time both vehicles to reach the venue together, so the group walks in at the same moment.

The car collects each student in the agreed order, starting with the address furthest from the venue.

We stop at the park, lookout or family home you chose, with the car parked in the shot.

Arrival

The car pulls up at the entrance so the arrival happens in front of the waiting crowd.

If you book a return, the car is back at the finish time to take everyone home or on to the after-party address.

$500 starting price, per car

One quote covers everyone in the car, so families can split it however they agree.

Supercar arrivals and stretch limousines are priced differently.

The time between the first pickup and the final drop-off.

After-formal return

Optional, for a pickup back at the finish time.

If the night runs past the booked finish time, the extra time is charged in 15-minute blocks, so a small buffer in the booking is worth having.

A deposit of 50% confirms the car. For formal bookings, the balance is due 30 working days before the event, and quotes stay valid for seven days.

Formal Car Hire Questions

How far ahead should we book formal cars?

Formal season runs from September to December, when Year 10 and Year 12 formals overlap, so book 3 to 6 months ahead to get the car and time you want.

Is food allowed in the formal car?

No food is eaten in our vehicles while travelling, so plan to eat at the venue or before pickup.

Who pays if the car is damaged?

The person who made the booking is responsible for any damage caused by passengers, and an additional cleaning fee applies if a vehicle needs a steam clean afterwards.

Do students have to wear seatbelts in a limousine?

Yes. Every one of our vehicles is fitted with seatbelts, and NSW law requires each passenger to wear one for the whole trip, including in a stretch limousine.

Can students play their own music?

Yes, the limousines have sound systems students can connect to. Entertainment equipment is supplied as a courtesy rather than a guaranteed part of the booking.
