What a Private Yacht Charter Includes

A private charter means the vessel is yours for the booked hours: your group, your music, your route around the harbour. The crew handles the boat, so nobody in the party is responsible for navigation or mooring.

Catering, drinks and extras are arranged around the event rather than set by a package, which is why every charter is quoted rather than priced from a list.

No other groups on board for the hours you book.

The vessel is operated by its own crew; you are a guest on board.

A chauffeured car can collect the group and meet the boat at the other end.

Why Yacht Charters Are Quoted, Not Priced From a List

Three things move the cost of a charter: the vessel, the number of hours and the day. A weekday afternoon on a mid-sized boat and a Saturday evening on a superyacht are different bookings entirely.

Catering, beverages, and extras such as a photographer are arranged on request, so the quote reflects the event you actually want rather than a package you have to fit into.

      FAQ

      Yacht Hire Questions

Have a date in mind? Send it through and we will check the fleet.
How much does it cost to hire a yacht in Sydney?
Charters are quoted per booking. The vessel, the number of hours and the day of the week set the figure, which is why a weekday afternoon and a summer Saturday are priced very differently.
A full day is usually quoted as a block of six to eight hours on the water. Tell us the date and guest count and we will price the day on the vessel that fits.
There is no useful average across a fleet that runs from a cruiser to a superyacht. The honest answer is that the vessel you choose moves the price far more than the length of the charter does.
Many private vessels are limited to 12 guests unless they hold a commercial survey for more. We confirm the certified capacity of each boat when we quote, so the number on your invitation matches the number allowed on board.
No, it is arranged on request. Menus, drinks packages and staff are quoted with the charter so you can choose the level you want.
Within reason, yes. The skipper will plan a route around your wishes, the weather and the traffic on the water that day.
The skipper makes the call on safety. Most charters go ahead with a sheltered route, and genuinely unsafe conditions are handled under the operator’s weather policy, which we confirm before you pay.
