What a Private Chauffeur Does That a Rideshare Cannot

A rideshare driver takes you from A to B and then takes the next job. A private chauffeur is booked for a block of time, so the same driver and the same car stay with you all day.

That matters when the day has gaps: a meeting that runs long, a lunch, a shop, a school pickup. Nobody re-books, nobody waits on a kerb, and bags can stay in the car between stops.

The words get used loosely, so here is how we use them. A driver moves the car. A personal driver is hired by one client for a set period, often for errands and family runs. A chauffeur is a professional driver whose job includes the car’s presentation, the route, the timing and the way passengers are looked after.

Everything on this page is chauffeured: uniformed driver, car cleaned before each booking, and a plan agreed before the first pickup.

Chauffeur work is quoted by the hour, with the driver, the waiting time and the fuel inside the figure.

Late finishes and public holidays are quoted separately.

Extra time past the booked finish is charged in 15-minute blocks, so it is worth building in a buffer.

A deposit of 50% confirms the booking and is non-refundable.

Regular bookings can be set up as a standing arrangement; ask us when you send the first date.
